About Ohrid

Located southwest of Skopje, near the border with Albania lies the immortal city of Ohrid – kingdom of light and water, a repository of ancient ruins from Macedonia’s earlier kingdoms. Ohrid is notable for having once had 365 churches, one for each day of the year and has been referred to as a “Jerusalem (of the Balkans)”. The city is also rich in picturesque houses and monuments, and one of the Ohrid’s most popular remarks is the lake itself. The uniqueness of the Lake Ohrid and the city’s historical architecture has been attested by UNESCO, honoring it with an official designation as one of the few places on the cultural institution’s list “World Inheritance”.

Transport

Transport will be provided by bus from Skopje to Ohrid for all participants, it’s included in the full participation fee. The participants who will provide their own transport, should contact the Transport Coordinator at imsctransport@gmail.com after the payment.
